Return & Refund Policy

At Tiaki Voyages Tours, we value the trust you place in us when booking your travel experiences. Our team invests significant time and effort in planning, coordinating, and confirming each journey with our network of hotels, transporters, guides, and local partners across North Bengal and beyond.

Because of the advance payments and non-recoverable commitments we make to our service providers, Tiaki Voyages Tours follows a strict “No Refund Policy” once a booking is confirmed.

This policy is established to maintain fairness, operational consistency, and transparency for all travelers.


1. Scope of Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all bookings, payments, deposits, and transactions made through:

  • The official website (www.tiakivoyages.com)
  • Direct communication via email, phone, or WhatsApp
  • Authorized agents or partner travel representatives of Tiaki Voyages Tours

By proceeding with a booking or payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this No Refund Policy in full.


2. Non-Refundable Payments

All payments made to Tiaki Voyages Tours — including deposits, advances, full payments, and service fees — are non-refundable, under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Change in personal or professional plans
  • Medical emergencies or illness
  • Weather-related issues, natural disasters, or strikes
  • Cancellation or modification by the traveler
  • Missed travel dates or “No Show” situations
  • Visa delays or rejection (if applicable for international travel)

Once a payment is received, it is immediately utilized toward bookings, permits, accommodations, and vendor reservations — all of which are pre-paid and non-refundable to us.


3. Booking Confirmation and Responsibility

A booking is deemed confirmed once a partial or full payment has been received by Tiaki Voyages Tours.
After confirmation, all vendors (hotels, homestays, cab services, etc.) are paid in advance to secure your reservation.

As a result, Tiaki Voyages Tours cannot cancel or recover those funds, even if the traveler decides not to proceed with the trip.


4. Trip Rescheduling or Credit Option

While cash refunds are not applicable, Tiaki Voyages Tours may — at its sole discretion — offer a rescheduling or travel credit option under certain genuine cases, such as:

  • Sudden medical emergencies (with valid documentation)
  • Unavoidable travel restrictions or natural calamities

These reschedules are subject to:

  • Availability of vendors on new dates
  • Price differences between original and rescheduled dates
  • Payment of additional charges (if applicable)

All rescheduling requests must be made in writing at least 15 days before the scheduled trip date.

Please note that Tiaki Voyages Tours reserves the right to deny rescheduling requests if vendors are unable to accommodate new dates.


5. No Refund on Partial Usage

If a traveler chooses to discontinue the trip midway or skip certain inclusions (e.g., sightseeing, meals, or accommodations), no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the package.

Similarly, if you leave the group voluntarily or fail to arrive on time at departure points, the unutilized services will be forfeited.


6. Refunds in Case of Company-Initiated Cancellations

In the unlikely event that Tiaki Voyages Tours cancels a tour due to unforeseen operational or safety reasons (such as extreme weather, road closures, or government restrictions), we will offer one of the following alternatives:

  • A rescheduled tour date, or
  • A travel credit voucher of equivalent value (valid for future bookings within 6 months).

No monetary refund will be issued in such cases.


7. Payments to Third-Party Vendors

Certain components of your travel package (like safaris, flight tickets, hotel stays, or adventure activities) are handled by third-party vendors.
Each vendor maintains their own policies regarding refunds, and Tiaki Voyages Tours cannot guarantee recovery of any amount once payment has been transferred to these partners.

All vendor payments are strictly non-refundable and governed by their individual terms.


8. Non-Transferable Policy

All bookings are personal and non-transferable.
Once confirmed, a booking cannot be transferred or sold to another traveler without prior written approval from Tiaki Voyages Tours.

Any such transfer request, if approved, may incur additional administrative fees and is subject to vendor availability.


9. Refund Mode and Timeframe (In Exceptional Cases)

If Tiaki Voyages Tours, at its discretion, approves a partial refund or credit, the processing time will be:

  • 14 to 21 business days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed only through the original payment method or as future travel credits.

Please note that bank charges, transaction fees, or gateway processing charges will be deducted from any refundable amount (if ever applicable).


10. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances

Tiaki Voyages Tours is not liable for refunds in the event of Force Majeure, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, pandemics, or epidemics
  • Political unrest or travel restrictions
  • Transportation shutdowns
  • War, terrorism, or civil disturbance

Under such situations, we will coordinate with vendors to minimize loss and, where possible, offer rescheduling or credit vouchers instead of refunds.


11. Client Responsibility and Acknowledgment

By confirming a booking and making payment, you agree that:

  • You have read and understood Tiaki Voyages Tours’ No Refund Policy.
  • You will not dispute or charge back any payment made for services rendered.
  • You understand that Tiaki Voyages Tours incurs non-recoverable costs immediately upon booking confirmation.

Any dispute raised with payment gateways or banks will be defended with appropriate proof of service confirmation and client acknowledgment of this policy.


12. Policy Modifications

Tiaki Voyages Tours reserves the right to update, amend, or modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.
All updates will be posted on our official website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
